The government has published the highly anticipated full Approved Register of Apprenticeships Training Providers this week.

We’d like to congratulate all of the providers and employers that successfully achieved RoATP status this week.

The organisations that are featured on the register have undergone a comprehensive application process with the Skills Funding Agency that considers due diligence, capacity, quality and financial health to ensure that they can deliver high-quality apprenticeship training.

There are three provider types outlined in the register:

  • Main providers – organisations that can be selected by levy paying employers to deliver apprenticeship training or selected by another main provider to work as a subcontractor.
  • Employer providers – which are levy paying employers who are permitted to train their own staff or apprentices in connected companies but are not permitted to deliver training to unconnected organisations.
  • Supporting providers – which are organisations that only deliver as a subcontractor for contract values between £100,000 and £500,000 per year in total.

As the only Chartered body dedicated to creating better led and managed organisations, CMI are committed to helping employers, providers and learners in the delivery of apprenticeships by offering professional support, guidance and resources.
